High Performance Galvanizing Extends Component Service Life

Advanced galvanizing methods are determined strictly by component geometry, operational environment, and precise dimensional tolerances. Integrating Löfs’ engineering expertise into the initial design phase guarantees optimal technological execution and verified component protection.

Industrial galvanizing processes operate under rigorous quality control parameters to eliminate production risks. Every coating phase executes in absolute compliance with international industrial standards, strict occupational safety protocols, and environmental legislation (EHS).

  • Zinc flake coating (SFS-EN 13858)

An excellent choice when high surface durability is required but film thickness is limited. The process leaves only a thin, approximately 10–20 μm, completely chromium-free, and environmentally friendly protective layer.

It is ideal for machined surfaces, threads, and parts that require extremely precise dimensions without the risk of hydrogen embrittlement.

Certified Quality Architecture of the Zinc Flake Coating Process

Pretreatment

A perfect finish always requires a clean surface. We carefully prep metal parts by mechanically or chemically removing contaminants, rust, and mill scale. This ensures maximum and uniform adhesion of the zinc coating.

Coating

The parts are coated on our modern production lines using the selected method. In the zinc flake coating process, we ensure a uniform dipping and spinning process.

Duplex finish (optional)

We offer a unique advantage: we can finish the galvanizing process by painting over the zinc coating using our own state-of-the-art painting lines. This Duplex treatment provides multiple layers of protection against highly corrosive environments (C4–CX) and allows you to apply your desired accent or brand color over the gray zinc surface.

Quality Assurance and Measurement

We accurately measure the thickness of the finished protective layer using digital film thickness gauges. Monitoring in accordance with our ISO 9001 system ensures that every batch meets the requirements of the standards and the tolerances specified by the customer.

Frequently Asked Questions About Galvanizing

We serve manufacturers in the metal, machinery, and equipment industries by offering industrial-scale capacity and uncompromising quality. Below, you’ll find answers to the most common questions related to galvanizing.

Zinc painting refers to liquid primers containing zinc dust, applied primarily for localized repair and basic priming operations. Industrial zinc flake coating is a non-electrolytic, high-performance technology where automated lines thermally bond a pure metallic matrix of zinc and aluminum flakes directly onto the steel substrate.

In our modern production facilities, a large portion of the waste heat generated by production lines and processes is recovered and used to heat our buildings. This significantly reduces our total energy consumption and carbon footprint. For industrial buyers, this means not only a more responsible supply chain but also greater cost efficiency, as energy waste is minimized through careful planning.
