Whistleblower Reporting Channel

Through the whistleblower reporting channel, employees, partners, and third parties of Löfs Ab Oy can report suspected serious misconduct confidentially. The reporting channel is based on the EU’s 2019 Whistleblowing Directive, which aims to protect individuals who wish to disclose misconduct within their organizations. The misconduct reported may relate, for example, to environmental protection, traffic safety, public finances, competition rules, or public health.

We always encourage employees to contact their own supervisor first. With the new reporting channel, it will now also be possible to report suspected misconduct anonymously. It is important that everyone report any suspected misconduct that does not comply with Löfs Ab Oy’s principles of good business practice, values, or guidelines. This allows us to correct, prevent, or rectify any improprieties or misconduct.

The person who filed the report is protected from any retaliation. For example, the reporter may not be fired, transferred to less desirable duties, have their pay reduced, be intimidated, or have their subcontractor agreement terminated. This protection also extends to the whistleblower’s assistants if they advise or assist in filing the report.

The reporting channel is intended for reporting suspected misconduct made in good faith. Using the reporting channel for defamation, bullying, or retaliation is not permitted, and reports submitted for these purposes may result in action being taken against the reporter.

Processing of Notifications

We take all reports seriously. Reports submitted through the reporting channel are handled confidentially by Löfs Ab Oy’s Whistleblowing Team, which ensures that the matter is handled appropriately in accordance with the agreed-upon procedure. Only members of this team have access to the reports. If the reporter has provided their contact information, the team may also request additional information from the reporter during the review process. Team members are bound by a duty of confidentiality regarding the cases they handle.

Protection of the person named in the report and their right to information

The information collected through this notice will be treated confidentially and is subject to applicable data protection laws.

Deleting Data

Personal data in the registry is kept confidential. Löfs Ab Oy retains the data for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected and processed, or for as long as required by laws and regulations governing data retention.
