Pretreatment
Careful and proper surface preparation is the foundation of high-quality powder coating. We perform mechanical and chemical pretreatments in accordance with the industry’s strictest standards to ensure perfect adhesion and corrosion protection for the coating.
Painting
The paint is applied to the surface of the workpiece as a fine powder using an electrostatic process. This method produces an even, thick, and extremely durable coating without solvent or VOC emissions.
Hardening
The parts are heated to a high temperature, causing the powder to melt and form a strong bond with the metal surface. This ensures excellent mechanical and chemical wear resistance.
Quality Assurance
Our certified inspectors oversee the process. If necessary, we create a project-specific quality assurance plan, and the surface treatment meets the requirements of the SFS-EN ISO 12944 standards.

When deciding on a surface treatment method for a product, it is critical to determine where and under what conditions the product will be used. Löfs performs demanding powder coating projects in accordance with climate exposure classes C1–C5 of the international SFS-EN ISO 12944 standard.
Careful mechanical and/or chemical pretreatment, along with closely monitored processes, ensure that the coating can withstand even the harshest industrial and marine environmental conditions. C1 – Very low risk of corrosion
ENVIRONMENT
Heated indoor spaces with dry air and low levels of pollutants (e.g., offices, stores, hotels). Not for outdoor use.

C2 – Low risk of corrosion

Colors can be chosen with virtually complete freedom. Our in-stock selection covers the most common standard industrial colors, ensuring the fastest and most cost-effective turnaround. When it comes to surface types, we are experts in both completely smooth surfaces and textured surfaces that offer excellent resistance to mechanical wear, depending on the product’s intended use.
Powder coating does not use any solvents at all, which means the process does not produce any harmful VOC emissions. The method is also highly material-efficient: powder paint that falls off the production line is carefully collected and reused, minimizing waste. In addition, at Löfs, we recycle the waste heat generated by our paint ovens directly to heat our own facilities, which further reduces our carbon footprint.
